The Middle School at the Hollywood Schoolhouse provides for continued academic growth through a departmentalized program, and fosters the ongoing development of individual responsibility for a smooth transition into High School.
The Middle School program is steered by the following developmentally appropriate premises:

Middle School students are assuming greater responsibility for their own learning, and continue to develop and refine independent organizational skills to support their learning process.

Middle School students are encouraged to take ownership of their own successes and failures and see these as opportunities for learning.

The school / parent partnership has evolved such that students can more effectively assume the responsibility for school parent communication

Middle School faculty promote the intellectual, emotional, social and physical growth of adolescents, and encourage and nurture students as they grow into young adults.

The school encourages the development of an inclusive community of students whose members strive to respect individual differences and resolve conflicts peaceably.

Parents are asked to give appropriate support, while allowing students to strive for their personal best as independently as possible.
