Our Library
The library is an exciting place to experience literature at many levels and in many ways. Classes visit the library on a weekly basis to enhance and extend subject areas and curriculum.

The library is open during and after school. Students are taught research skills using both books and the Internet. Students are encouraged to check out books at every opportunity. In addition to students coming into the library for reading, assignments and research, they are also offered a variety of skill building exercises such as listening, reading and public speaking activities to strengthen their academic success. Computers are also available for online research.

Special Programs
Reading Buddies:
School-aged children can read stories to pre-school children and earn points. After reading so many books, students are invited to a special party to celebrate their achievement.
Homework Helpers
Middle School students are paired up with younger students to work on homework assignments. It's a great chance for both sets of students to learn to work together and get to know one another.
Book Fair
This year, we hosted a Scholastic Bookfair. During each class's regularly scheduled library time, students were able to browse from a variety of books and purchase their favorites. Best of all, a portion of the proceeds will go toward purchasing new books and supplies for our library!
This year's book fair was a resounding success! |
