Agenda Book Information

All Hollywood Schoolhouse students in grades 1-8 will be learning organizational skills through the use of an agenda book. These books should be used for all homework and other school assignments in addition to personal scheduling such as soccer practice, music lessons, club meetings, extra OM practice, etc. The books will also serve as a vehicle for short, basic communication between teachers and parents. In order for the book to be effective, we need 100% parent participation. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Your student will receive his/her agenda book and instruction on its use the first day of class.
  • Students will be expected to bring their agenda books to class DAILY.
  • Students will be expected to record all homework, activities, and other school related assignments in the appropriate section of their agenda DAILY.
  • Teachers will assist students by providing class time for agenda entries and instruction on the how to make the entries.
  • Parents should check the student’s agenda book DAILY and sign it. If you have a short communication for the teacher, you may write it in the signature section of the agenda book.
  • Teachers will check the agenda books DAILY for parent signature and for correct assignment entries.
  • More detailed parent/teacher communication may be included in the Friday Folder.
  • Parents should bring their student’s agenda book with them to all parent/teacher conferences.

If you are interested in learning more about how to use the agenda book, visit the Premier Agenda web site at www.agenda.com.

With your support we can help our students learn organizational skills that will last them a lifetime.

Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to our Hollywood Schoolhouse program.
